The GPS Snitch isn't your typical GPS device, so it isn't going to tell you in a sexy little French or English voice how to get to a particular destination, instead this device will play more of a James Bond kind of role-- keeping an eye on your prized possession, your children, and/or your business. The GPS Snitch is simply a module receiver that can be hidden in a car to protect it in case someone decides to go for a little unauthorized trip. Like Mr. Bond, the Snitch acts as a spy, broadcasting its location on demand. Place it in your vehicle or in any other object and simply track away via an active Internet connection. The highly versatile GPS Snitch can be configured to report on its location or you can track it on the fly. Once armed, the device's integrated motion sensor can alert you via a text message to your phone and/or send you an e-mail upon detected movement.

The GPS Snitch's battery can last up to a full week on one battery charge during moderate usage. The battery life may be monitored via the Internet on the website, so you will know how much battery life is left and the overall GSM signal strength.

There's no installation of any kind, opening an account on the website is simple and you can even set it up to arm or disarm through your cell phone. However you can't power the unit on or off remotely, so if someone does steal your car, finds and turns off the device, then tracking is impossible.

GPS Snitch currently costs $299. An optional car charger for the unit is an extra $35, while a hardwiring kit to connect the Snitch directly to the car's 12v power source - similar to how you car radio is hooked up - is $15.
